The Planets The Planets
Pratique quotidienne d'animation dans TouchDesigner. pour cette exploration j'ai recréé un poster de film et l'ai animé, en utilisant uniquement les outils du logiciel.
Daily animation practice in TouchDesigner. For this exploration I recreated a film poster and animated it, using only the software's native tools.
Exercice régulier : prendre une référence visuelle et la reconstruire dans TouchDesigner, puis l’animer. Pas de fichiers externes, uniquement les outils natifs du logiciel.
Pour cette étude, le point de départ est un poster inspiré de The Planets de Gustav Holst. Le visuel joue sur des chiffres tronqués, partiellement visibles, qui constituent la composition. Pas de représentation planétaire littérale — c’est la typographie et son découpage qui portent l’image.
La reconstruction reproduit cette logique dans TD, puis l’animation fait entrer les chiffres en mouvement, en restant cohérent avec l’ambiance graphique du poster.
A regular exercise: take a visual reference and rebuild it in TouchDesigner, then animate it. No external files, only the software's native tools.
For this study, the starting point is a poster inspired by *The Planets* by Gustav Holst. The visual plays on truncated numbers, partially visible, that make up the composition. No literal planetary representation — it is the typography and its cropping that carry the image.
The reconstruction reproduces this logic in TD, then the animation sets the numbers in motion, staying coherent with the graphic atmosphere of the poster.
